STOKES EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The National Security Agency (NSA) is currently accepting applications from across the country for the Stokes Educational Scholarship Program-Language. This tuition assistance program is looking for high school seniors, minorities, who are planning to pursue Studies in Chinese or Russian language as a part of their college degree program. Selected participants in the Stokes Program receive an annual salary and receive up to $30,000 for tuition and mandatory educational fees per academic year. A position in the Stokes Educational Scholarship Program-Language means you will attend classes full-time at the college of your choice in the U.S., and then work during the summer at NSA for a minimum of 12 weeks in areas that are related to your course of study (Chinese or Russian language).

Qualifications
While the eligibility requirements for our Stokes Program-Language are subject to change from year to year, below you will find our basic prerequisites. High School Seniors (planning to study Chinese or Russian Language in college):
- U.S. Citizenship
- Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrated aptitude in learning foreign language(s) High school Transcripts must show a minimum of 3 years of coursework in a world language.
- If available, students may also submit evidence of achieving Seal of Biliteracy as set by the American Council for the Teaching of Foreign Language (ACTFL) or results from ACTFL, National Examination for World Language (NEWL), or other relevant language examinations.*** ***Due to COVID: SAT/ACT test scores& AP/IB exam scores are optional.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
- Salary: $22,682 annually, plus locality. (GG 2 Step 1)
